A new cosmetic procedure isbeing madeavailable to those who want long, full, natural lashes permanently instead of the super popular semi-permanent eyelash extensions that have just exploded this past year and are a must for most women.
The latest technique in beauty is surgicallytransplanted eyelashes where a smallincision is madeon your scalpin the back area and 30 to 40 hair follicles areremoved and sewn on one by one onto the eyelid.Since yournatural head hair grows this then means that your transplanted eyelashes will also and therefore will need regular trims otherwise you will have hair covering your eyes. Having this done may sound a little strange to some and it is definitely not for everyone. With the transplanted eyelashes you will probably need to use an eyelash curler since the transplanted eyelash will not have a natural curl to it unless of course you have naturally curly hair and then you may want to think twice about having the eyelash transplant surgery. You will also most likely need to wear mascara.
Alot of my clients like the semi-permanent extensions for these reasons - not having to deal with mascara since the black bonding agent gives the elusion of mascara and also the synthetic lash already has a natural curl to it. Both however are maintenance. Which eyelash extension technique works best for you depends on what you want your end result to be permanent or semi-permanent?
The procedure does not come cheap - cost for the eyelash transplant surgery isabout $3000/eye. Visit www.baumanmedical.com fo r more information or click here to view video.
